Towle Silversmiths 3-Piece Mother-of-Pearl Cheese & Charcuterie Set | Circa 1960s
Elevate your entertaining with this exquisite three-piece hors d'oeuvre serving set by Towle Silversmiths, one of America's most prestigious silversmithing houses. Dating to the 1960s, this set is a testament to the golden age of American tableware craftsmanship.
The set includes three serving pieces: a cheese knife with a forked tip for cutting and serving hard cheeses, a pear-shaped spreader for soft cheeses and pâtés, and an elegant two-tine cocktail fork.
Each handle is inlaid with genuine mother-of-pearl tiles, their natural iridescence shifting from soft white to warm silver depending on the light — no two handles are exactly alike. The MOP panels are inset in stainless steel which is detailed with a refined rounded end cap. All three are stamped simply "Towle" — a plain mark consistent with production prior to the mid-1970s import labeling requirements.
Dimensions: 7.5–6.25" in length
Condition: Very good vintage condition. Light surface wear consistent with age and gentle use. No losses to the mother-of-pearl. See photos.
