Black Amethyst Blown Glass Swan Bowl - Vase

Hand-blown black amethyst glass swan bowl - vase featuring a gracefully arched neck and ruffled bowl. The rich black glass only reveals a deep amethyst hue at the location of the pontil mark, the rest of the piece reflects deep black. 

Likely made by a skilled studio glass artist in the mid-20th century; unmarked. Pontil mark from manufacturing shown in pictures. This is a slight smooth bump, with the appearance of a chip but without a chip. This would be where the maker would have had a rod

attached during the firing of the glass. Very clean piece.

Condition: Very good vintage condition. No chips or cracks.
